He regretted not paying more attention to her when she was still alive. He stays in Barcelona, Spain and juggles both his work and studies in order to finish his master's degree. He has issues with his mother, who also resides in Barcelona, because she left him when he was a little boy. He then meets Mia, a girl who just moved to Spain to start a new life after several mistakes she has done in the past. She came to Spain in order to make her parents proud of her once again especially her father. Rising Action:   Mia gets into trouble losing her job and her rental space and so Ely allowed her to stay in his apartment while she finds a job. Characters: Victor - the protagonist and a newsboy Victor's Father - very loved by Victor who died violently by being shot Victor's Mother - became irresponsible about her son after her husband's death Tio Pedring - helped Victor find a job as a newsboy Nacio - Victor's first friend as a newsboy who died by being hit by a car. Summary: Victor was the son of a father who worked on a waterfront and got involved in a strike wherein employees were charged of unjust compensation, their earnings were being withheld, and their right to form a union was disregarded.
